We do this by meeting to tour the estate, discussing your needs and expectations, and establishing a desired or required time frame. After the initial consultation, we will develop a customized plan that fits your situation and needs. The most typical solutions are outlined as follows:
If the estate is a good candidate for a sale, we go through everything, clean, organize, take inventory, research, and prepare and price everything. We stage, price, and set up displays for the sale. The sale will typically include set days/times, and use of various online platforms to maximize your bottom line. We market and advertise the sale to maximize foot traffic.
There is typically no upfront fee and we work on a shared commission basis as a percentage of sales generated.
Estate clean outs are common for smaller estates when a formal estate sale is not necessary. A clean out typically involves an initial review of everything with you, identifying any items of value, and our assistance in arranging for removal and disposal, including donations, dumpster and trash services, and sale of any valuables. For a clean out, we typically charge a flat rate upfront, share in a commission of sold items, and you are responsible for cost of trash haul away, and dumpster fees.
